Foyer Lighting Installation and Measurement Tips
The foyer lighting is always an important design element to incorporate in your home interior. There are various foyer lighting fixtures you can consider installing, but mostly they are the hanging fixture models, although you can also install wall-mounted light fixtures. However, the ceiling ones play a more critical role as they provide more thorough illumination.
When you are planning the foyer lighting, it is always important to determine the right size of the fixture. This means you need to decide the right width and height of the light fixture to fit in the room perfectly for optimum illumination. Here is how to measure the size of fixture.
Measuring Foyer Lighting Fixtures
The width of the fixture is calculated by adding only the number of the width and length dimensions of the foyer together. The number is the width of the fixture you are supposed to look for. Therefore, if the foyer is 10 x 10 feet, then the light fixture is ideally 20 inches. To determine height of the fixture, you need to allow for at least 7 feet of gap between the bottom of fixture and the floor. But if the room has front door or window above, you can heighten the foyer lighting for more beautiful effect
